Helen Whiteplease

I settled in Devon in 2015 after a career spanning 30 years in local government and 5 years in the corporate world—35 years in total to find my perfect role. I’ve now been with SDVH for 4 years, and I absolutely love it: the clients, the patients, and the wonderful team I work with.
At home, I’m well on my way to becoming a fully-fledged crazy cat lady, presided over by Catsby (aka The Mogster, aka Romeo), who firmly believes he’s in charge of everyone—including Red (aka Smiler), the gorgeous Labrador and latest family addition.
When I’m not working, I enjoy walking, spotting birdlife, and adventures in “Betty” the camper van. I’m also a keen reader, crossword enthusiast, and a devoted Strictly Come Dancing fan.
